These terms explain how you may use the CoachBen website. They apply to the website and its general content, not to an individual 1:1 coaching relationship.

About CoachBen

This website is operated by Benjamin Sommerville, a sole trader established in England and trading as CoachBen MultiSport Coaching.

Using this website

You may use the website for lawful personal and non-commercial purposes. You must not deliberately interfere with the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, misuse its forms or use its content in a way that infringes another person's rights.

You may link to a public page in a fair and lawful way that does not imply an association, endorsement or approval that does not exist. You must not frame the website or present its content as your own.

General information, not individual advice

CoachBen Insights and other website content provide general coaching information. They cannot account for your complete training history, health, environment, current condition or goals and should not be treated as an individual training prescription.

The website does not provide medical diagnosis, injury rehabilitation, clinical nutrition, mental-health treatment or emergency support, and it does not replace advice from an appropriately qualified or regulated professional. If you have an urgent medical or mental-health concern, use the appropriate healthcare or emergency route.

You remain responsible for deciding whether general information is suitable for your circumstances and for stopping an activity when safety requires it.

Coaching relationship and age requirement

Browsing the website, joining Between Sessions, sending an enquiry or booking a discovery call does not create a coaching relationship.

1:1 coaching begins only after mutual agreement and completion of the separate coaching agreement, readiness, consent and onboarding processes. That agreement sets out the service, price, payment arrangements, cancellation rights and other contractual details. Where consumer cancellation rights apply, they are not reduced by these website terms.

CoachBen's 1:1 coaching service is available only to adults aged 18 and over. The website does not guarantee coaching acceptance, continuing availability or a particular performance outcome.

Copyright and permitted use

Unless identified otherwise, the website's written content, design, layout, photographs, graphics and CoachBen brand materials are owned by or licensed to Benjamin Sommerville trading as CoachBen MultiSport Coaching and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.

You may view the website and save or print reasonable extracts for your own personal, non-commercial reference. You must not copy, republish, sell, license, adapt, distribute or commercially exploit a substantial part of the website without prior written permission, except where the law permits it.

CoachBen names, logos and brand elements may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement or association without permission. Third-party names, marks and content remain the property of their respective owners.

Accuracy and availability

I take reasonable care over the website, but training knowledge, external guidance, qualifications, services and availability can change. Content may be corrected, updated, withdrawn or replaced without notice.

I do not promise that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or free from every error. Access may be suspended for maintenance, security, service-provider failure or another operational reason.

External websites and services

The website links to or embeds services operated by third parties, including services used for scheduling, email, social media and coaching delivery. Their own terms, privacy notices and availability apply when you use them.

A link does not make CoachBen responsible for third-party content or services. Where the website describes a professional affiliation or service relationship, it does not imply ownership or control beyond what is expressly stated.

Responsibility for loss

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

If you use the website as a consumer, CoachBen is responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of breaching these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. CoachBen is not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for your failure to act on an evident safety concern, or for business losses arising from use of this consumer-facing website.

Responsibility arising from an agreed 1:1 coaching service is governed by the separate coaching agreement as well as applicable law.

Privacy

Information about personal-data handling, the newsletter, discovery-call booking and service providers is set out in the Privacy Notice.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms when the website, law or service changes. The latest version and review date will remain available on this page. Material changes do not retrospectively replace an existing coaching agreement.

Law and courts

These website terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available where you live. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction.
